Project Name : Lexus and Toyota Cars
Location : Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Singapore

Borneo Motors (BMS), established in 1856, is today one of Singapore’s
leading car distributors. Its parentage lies with UK-listed Inchcape Group,
well regarded for its prowess in a variety of global businesses including
motor distribution. Borneo Motors started distributing Toyota and Lexus
in 1967 and 1989 respectively. The Toyota and Lexus marque are entrenched
in many forms of transportation on Singapore roads: including passenger
vehicles and commercial transport, with over 120,000 delighted car owners
today.
The unbearable heat in the tropical climate of Singapore often causes
discomfort and fatigue while driving. With discerning customers who are
increasingly concerned about comfort, BMS addresses this problem by offering
their valuable customers unmatched performance in maximum heat rejection
and fade control window films for their new cars by embarking on a relationship
with Hüper Optik® authorized dealer, Infra Pte Ltd, who has become
the first official contractor for BMS to install heat control film.
Despite the higher price, Hüper Optik® nano-ceramic films are
chosen over other brands for its excellent heat rejection, its superb
durability and its compliance to the Land Transport Authority’s
requirements. BMS customers can now enjoy the ride in cool comfort without
excessive glare. The new car upholstery is also protected from fading
at the same time. Infra; the official contractor who has done more than
5000 cars for the past 2 years since 2001, also offers mobile film installation
services at convenient locations specified by BMS customers. Today’s
consumers no longer need to spend time waiting at the workshop, but yet
be assured of a professional installation job done by Hüper Optik®‘s
experienced team.
“We feel our customers are increasingly seeing the value of Hüper
Optik® ceramic films; a product that not only protect them from the
sun but provide a cooler interior that enhances their driving comfort”

Project Name : Grand Hyatt Hotel
Location : Jakarta, Indonesia

The Grand Hyatt Hotel is a luxury hotel situated in the heart of the
bustling capital city of Jakarta. The 447 room hotel known for it first
class facilities and services is located 30 minutes from Soekarno-Hatta
Airport and is adjacent to Plaza Indonesia - the city’s most comprehensive
and sophisticated shopping mall and has access to government offices,
museums and cultural attractions. The hotel has full banquet and conference
facilities, houses 7 restaurants and bars from casual to formal and also
many other amenities such as recreational and fitness centre.
The hotel’s design concept was to maximise the use of natural light,
as well as to provide a panoramic view of the city, largely using glass
panels for the facade. Resultantly, the heat gain through the windows
became apparent. The hotel’s policy is to provide their valued guests
with optimum comfort and was thus very concerned about the immense heat
experienced, particularly by their patrons of its restaurants. Hüper
Optik Indonesia was engaged to evaluate the situation and Hüper Ceramic
40 was recommended as the solution and installed in the executive lounge.
The nano-ceramic films have superb durability, high heat rejection properties
and at the same time, provide high visible light transmission. The management
felt an immediate difference upon installation - patrons could now sit
next to the window to enjoy the spectacular city view without the discomfort
previously experienced with the heat. The management was so impressed
with the film’s performance that the restaurants, fitness and recreational
centre and VIP suites are now coated with Hüper Ceramic 40.
The use of Hüper Optik® window films resulted in a substantial
reduction in solar heat gain and was able to reduce the load of the air-conditioning
system; thus resulting in huge savings in the long run. On top of energy
savings, the extended 10-year product warranty firmed up Hüper Optik®
as the hotel’s choice of solar control film for all windows. To
date (Year 2003), Hüper Optik Indonesia plans to install more than
10,000 square feet and the project is expected to be completed in phases
over the next 2 years.
"With Hüper Optik® Ceramic films, the patrons no longer
felt the discomfort sitting near the window caused by the heat”

Project Name : Nauru Tower
Location : Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu

Nauru Tower is Hawaii’s premier luxury condominium located near
Ala Moana beach park and Waikiki in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. The
44-storey Nauru Tower is Hawaii’s tallest building, employs a cast-in-situ
reinforced concrete wall system that avoids massive perimeter frame structure
to optimise the spectacular sea view for the tenants.
To reduce energy costs, fading, heat and glare, while maintaining the
view from the condominium, the Board of Directors of Nauru Tower commissioned
Hüper Optik USA to install the nano-ceramic window films on all the
existing glass windows. The decision for selecting Hüper Optik®
ceramic films was made based on the low reflectivity and natural tones
that allow the bright blue exterior of Nauru Tower to remain – the
building’s look was not changed. Further, the films excellent durability
will not succumb to demetallisation or fading even in the harshest environments
as the condominium is located near the sea.
After the installation of Hüper Optik® films, tenants from the
condominium experienced a significant reduction in the total solar heat
from the sun, resulting in a cooler living environment. One added advantage
reported was the view of the outside world can still maintained without
losing the natural lighting in the room.

Project Name : Coast Guard Cutter Vessels
Location : Naval Bases – Norfolk, Corpus Christi, New Orleans

When the US Coast Guard wanted to attain optimum optical clarity and
protection of its valuable state-of-art on board navigational and communications
systems against the sun’s damaging ultra-violet rays, Hüper
Optik® nano-ceramic solar control films with its exceptional caliber
and unsurpassed durability, became the natural solution. Unlike metal,
dyed or powder-coated films, Hüper Ceramic films do not succumb to
demetallisation or fading readily in the high salt content environment
while providing the maximum heat rejection.
Upon the completion of the initial site survey and customer needs analysis
conducted by an experienced Hüper Optik® USA team, Hüper
Ceramic 40 was recommended. The fit-out of one vessel was completed in
a day but the team was daunted with several challenges due to the uncertain
scheduling and availability of the remaining vessels docking in port and
the stringent inspection of the US Coast Guard engineers. The hard work
of our installation team paid off – the inspection team was pleased
with the end results and the 50-feet cutter vessels were now protected
from the excessive glare and the harmful solar rays that cause fading
to interior fixtures and fittings. With these superior performance films,
the vessels’ crew could enjoy a cool and comfortable interior, while
maintaining a clear view for navigation.
“Hüper Optik® ceramic films reduces heat gain in the interior
while a clear view for navigation was achieved”
